Micro Feedback is my project with this pocket set up: Edirol R09 digital recorder, cheap imitation Apple earphones, 2-to-1 Y-adapters (aka headphones splitter).
it was published as accompanied cd with the book "Génération dakou. Ecouter, recycler, expérimenter" (van Dieren/LUFF; 2012):
i play this for small amount of audience. on street, at a restaurant, in a bus, or anywhere we like. sometimes combined with my Living Room Tour project, by which i play at audience's home.
so everything here are real time feedback between earphone and build-in microphones of the recorder.
except track 06: field recording by Knut Remond at Ohrenhoch, Berlin. the sound was playing in my flat during the recording. this track was previously exhibited as sound work at Ohrenhoch.
track 05 was played in a closed room for one audience, more audience were in another space listen from speakers.
thanx: Nikola Mounoud, Thibault Walter and the team of LUFF/Van Dieren, Hsia Yu, Reinaart Vanhoe, Feng Shuo, Adel Wang Jing, Otomo Yoshihide, Kunt Remond and Ohrenhoch
note: the sounds in this CD contains rich and detailed high frequencies. pls use proper stereo speakers to listen. do not use build-in speakers of your stupid laptop. headphone is always better. compress them into mp3 or m4a may loss these vital high frequencies.
